Me personally, i would not recommend it.
I Speak from personal experience when i say it makes you a social outcast. If you have friends, go for it. if not, Hell no.

If you are self motivated, I say go for it. I'm taking a couple online classes and I'm currently having trouble keeping up with the course load even though I just started out with the classes. It's very easy to get distracted and slack off. That said, if you know how to focus and keep it as one of your priorities, you should be fine.
When I started with online classes, I was getting them done with ease. I was ahead of schedule all the time and finished 16 week classes in 2 weeks due to me being focused. Today is a different story. I need to take 2 one semester classes to be able to graduate high school. I have no motivation and I'm currently slipping to get anything done. I was withdrawn from my last two classes because I couldn't get any work done. I was 94% complete with one class and 86% done with the other. To go so far and then have that goto waste is a shame. I just want to make you realize if you decide to go for virtual school, you better stay focused and keep on a schedule. Don't get burned out like I did. You'll soon hate everything to do with online schooling.
My friends got a bit distanced after I started with online classes. I don't see any of them as much these days and might hang out once in a while. But what can you do? I knew it was bound to happen. I'm just trying to get senior year done at this point.

I took a class online because our school didnt have the proper teacher for it. The only downside is the fact have to focus at all and there are so many more distractions in front of you. You could browse forums etc while in class and they wouldn't ever know. It depends how dedicated you're going to be. They're just as easy as real life classes, just more distractions imo.
