I've already read the thread, and other than enticing users to get into mobile tech with the promise of an award (which wouldn't bait many people), I don't see much difference.

And the Tech-Savvy award, correct me if I'm wrong, encompases any and all tech, mobile included.

Furthermore, I'm not making a case for general technology because general technology, such as PCs and desktop computers, HAVE a foundation on this forum.

Mobile technology does not.

I'm not talking to "entice" users with my suggestion, but I think maybe an award that has been presented on the level that I have presented might warrant more of a spot than certain awards do on a technology forum.

Actually processing the information that you read is more important than just reading the information.

Mobile technology is general technology. Also, the "level" you presented it on was complaining at other members for giving ciritism on an award that already exists. I think you're forgetting this isn't just a technology forum. The monthly awards represent the member's dedication to the community, not dedication to technology (like most awards). You lost a lot of my respect when you attacked a member just because he gave you a reason why this isn't such a good idea.

There are no complaints, at least not from me. Only opinions. Just like the one that led you to the perception that I'm complaining.

We only give awards to people that post in the sections pertaining to the awards. You wouldn't get the award, even if it existed.

I support your suggestion Primitive, I believe we should have more awards, and since you have good arguments for the award we should have it.
