In terms of exactly what was compromised, they don't disclose much at all:

Define "basic?". What's the "nature" of the contact Information? This Is a general statement, and not directed at you.

The entire database was offered up for $100,000 on a “closely guarded underground cybercrime forum,” or in increments of 100,000 records for $10,000 apiece.

Why are these hacks not a surprise anymore? It seems utterly ridiculous that customer info gets accessed so often. I feel like my info is less safe that it ever has been, despite more awareness of how people can access it online etc. There's too many loopholes.

Absolutely so.

It just goes to show that they obviously don't take their security serious enough. I mean, If the data was stored In an encrypted form, did they also keep (for example) the encryption/decryption keys together with the data?

It's quite embarrassing for a company of that scale.

Especially when it happens multiple times. That really shows how they do not take things seriously. Unfortunately, people rely on their service and will most likely not leave the company despite this so it's not as though they will even lose much in business.
