After Anonymous' statement on Friday that they released Donald Trump's personal information online, the Trump campaign promptly backlashed, and the Secret Service and FBI immediately started an investigation. The thing is, Anonymous didn't release anything. All the information in their "dump" has been available for years.
This honeypot, known as #OpWhiteRose for anyone keeping track, was in support of the White Rose Society and the White Rose Revolt, and it's soul purposes were exposing the one-track mind of the American Justice System, and the underlying fascism of the Trump Campaign and Republican Party.
As Anonymous RedCult explained in the video released after the fact, "[the information] was online since 2013." Just the fact that law enforcement was so quick to start an FBI and Secret Service investigation shows hints of what Trump's, quote the man himself, "new America" will be like.
As an afterthought, I normally don't pay attention to AnonHQ, as a lot of their material (this included) is extremely propagated, but this article was a big eye-opener.
