I'm starting to create my own MyBB forum.. Just wanted to share the theme that is in progress. Simple in design and not wasteful on screen space is how I like web pages.

There was a very particular style of DDOS attack just now, it was mitigated.

I think the text is too dark & not very readable
But the design looks very nice.

I changed the text from #777 to #CCC or something like that. Yes it was too dark and I had to try find the correct balance. I think CCC should do it.
I'll try to remember you. Might be some time until I open it though. I'm too much of a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff to open half finished web site and just working on it on spare time.

One thing - tone down the red borders a bit towards darker red, Stands out too well, should probably blend it in a lil

Really? I don't know many forums using an obnoxious red.
You may want to work on your colours a bit, they're quite a pain to the eye, which is never good for the user. Other than that, I'll say it's good, since it is pretty much a baby.

Well, to be fair, you can't exactly claim a forum is taking your idea, you didn't copyright a colour nor group of them (and you can't do that either).
Though, I will admit, the technology forums bare a resemblence to another forum I know, that does happen to be grey and red.
