Highly recommend Fullmetal. Brotherhood, in my opinion was the best, but the original is still really good. Also Death Note was a favorite of mine. It was really well done and in the end you may find yourself on who's side you're on.

Fullmetal Alchemist (recomend brotherhood) is definitely up there as one of my favorites! Great story, going to admit (bro to bro here) pushed to tears a bit, but damn that was a good anime.

Now only if they remake Akame Ga Kill according to the manga in the same style they remade Fullmetal...
