22lr is one of the most lethal common rounds out there believe it or not. The reason to that is because of how light but durable it is as well as penetration powers.

You can be shot in the stomach by a 22 and the bullet will bounce around inside you going through organs or even travel and hit your heart.

The bigger the bullet and heavier will result in a cleaner shot more straight through pretty much this means you have to know where you are shooting because if you don't shoot good you can miss your lethal shot more easily.

Same thing can happen with 17hmr which is even smaller then 22lr.

You were able to get that accurate with a BB gun? I mean I've done dime shots with a .177 1200fps air rifle but a BB would be pretty hard unless you know your gun very very good.

P.S .177 Air rifles which shoot over 1000fps are lethal as well and can penetrate skull and have taken out medium game, fun, cheap and can get some food on the table.

My favorite rifle I have shot is the Tavor 21. I shot the civilian version and almost bought one for around $1200. Very nice substitute for an AR based systems.

It's a lethal round, fired by a firearm. However, if you use 7.62 you're going to see a lot more destruction and skull fragments. I would also pick 7.62 over .22lr if my target is larger (i.e. a bear). .22lr is not known for its knock back/stopping power. If you are proficient with both firearms, it would obviously make more sense to go with the higher caliber.

Above is a video illustrating my point. It doesn't show .22lr, but does show .357 and a couple others.

Mine would have to a Remington Model 700 set to .308
First rifle I ever shot and loved it, has one of the smoothest actions I've ever seen, and with any one with a replaced replaced trigger and non-factory stock could probably be made into a match-grade rifle.
