Zombie Apocalypse #1
Even though zombies are not real there is still a chance for it to become somewhat real such as government/chemical weapon experiments going wrong. Also now that the ice is melting in the north pole, Antarctica there could be viruses released unknown to humans but anyways the chances are very slim so lets not jump to conclusions that I am some quack.

But lets face it everybody needs a little bit of fantasy in there lives, so if it did become real what would you do to try and survive? would you hide, construct a safe zone, go to a bunker, etc?

I personally would keep moving, gathering food and possible supplies on the way continue hot wiring cars and get to a very remote place, build up a fence line, work on a secure shelter while trying to find some trust worthy people to build a group with.

Now I already have a survival kit for real world situations such as natural disasters, wars, invasions, etc which could potentially help get me through a zombie apocalypse so that is a big plus.

It's just impossible lol, no virus can provide oxygen and glucose to the muscles after death so they wouldn't even be able to move, Secondly, Even if IF there was a virus that let the muscles work after death, they would be slow and easy to kill, but would detriorate anyway over time so it wouldn't even be an apocalypse.

Who said zombies have to be dead? there is known viruses that cause zombie like actions/reactions to a living human.

Even bath salts does it but its not permanent.

It would not be like the walking dead or anything like that.

The elementary school next to my house is an old prison from like the 50s (I believe) and there are steel bars on the window and a massive cafeteria, so I'd clear it out and hole up there for a while.

Rabies although not a disease and treatable if caught in time when a human gets it from lets say bats or other carrying animals it messes with the brain in a way which causes the person to become mental in a way and can cause them to turn into pretty much in a way a cannibal.

If the rabies virus was to change in a way that treatment does not work and becomes not so deadly but the virus stays still very effective then it could turn into a big problem considering thousands of people get rabies per year.

And it is proven viruses can change even the common flu has changed and now vaccines are proven almost useless with very little benefit.

There is also other known viruses/diseases if you give google a shot.

But lets not turn this into a argument or anything because as I said the chances are slim and this is just a what if kind of thread in no way am I saying it is going to happen.

Like I said everybody needs a little fantasy in there life.

Drugs like PCP and Bath Salts can give a temporary "zombie effect" (mainly the strength aspect of it) as well as a tetrodotoxin from fucking up while preparing puffer fish (that's the reason it takes 10 years to get licensed to prepare Fugu in Japan).

Wade Davis, an anthropologist from Canada, performed a scientific investigation on the "Hatian Zombie" case and came to the conclusion that powdered pufferfish toxins were used to induce a trance-like state on victims for up to several years.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

Where did you hear that from? The stuff about PCP. I can throw a few facts about how PCP does not have any "zombifying effects".

It won't turn you into a zombie, but it gives you the near-superhuman strength zombies posses to rip open human bodies.

I didn't really want to just come out and say you're wrong, but you're pretty wrong again. I can explain it if you want but I'll do that another day. Maybe over Steam or something.
