I've heard about them and seen a few examples on Reddit but do they really work that well?

It looks cool and all but seems too good to be true.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

OT: I've seen someone create a bitmap image with Excel in a lecture; using three cells for RGB etc. It was actually pretty cool.

I might try a pixel art kind of thing eventually, if I can find the formulas.
