Hello #1
Hello everyone,

I go by "Artista" around here. I am an Electronic Engineering student.
As part of my part-time job, I program some scripts in HTML, PERL, JAVA. But I also possess knowledge of other programming languages.

I joined this Forum to learn about White Hat hacking (aka Ethical Hacking) for security considerations only. In future I'd be happy to find a job with related title.

It is hard to find guides on how to learn Hacking. Sometimes I wish there'd be a really good book out there somewhere, which I can read and get a great jump start / overview of all.

I wish you all a nice day.
Artista

If you want to learn the techniques, here is a good starting point:

Welcome to the best Ethical Hacking forums around be sure to read the rules http://www.hackcommunity.com/rules.php

Also don't rely on a book to be your main source of hacking, all good hackers and coders learned by figuring stuff on there own, that is when you become really good at whatever you want to do.

Sorry for the double post:

I just wanted to ask, is the signature option only for paying users?

Welcome to the forum!
But to answer your question: kind of. You can either get HC Lite with something like 100 HC Coins, or purchase a different subscription with real money. By purchasing subscriptions it really helps our great admin @bluedog.tar.gz pay for this costly forum to run. Not to mention that by purchasing a subscription you can have cool features such as a different colored name!

I hope that answers your question well enough. Smile

That's because Hacking is no single skill or defined field of knowledge.

But when it comes to InfoSec Hacking I think this is good start: http://www.hackcommunity.com/Thread-Tuto...-v3-Part-1

@Deque:

As I'm browsing these forums more and more I realized few things. Hacking could actually be a brand of programming. Hence you need software to do it's trick most of the time. Not for everything, but mostly.

As a begiiner (and a student) I am keen to writting guidlines for myself - step by step is the best way to get to your goal. I might post a Beginner's Guide myself, on how I got into programming / hacking and post some tips that I learnd from here. Later on, though.

I am checking every tutorial on here, it's really plenty of information, but as I noticed, the key is what do you want!

You simply have to determine what do you want, and not just "I want to hack!!!" .

Great forums, hope that community stays active and as helpful as it is, I promise to expand the knowledge gathered her from your wisdom to others who might seek for it.
