Hi!

I'm making a website for my band Dark Solution. I would like to have a splash page, that is sort of a "gate" to the website. Currently, I'm doing it through jQuery and to be more friendly to people without Javascript (and to bots), the page appears only after jQuery kicks in. However, this results in the page "behind" the splash image to sort of flash before the splash page is fully loaded.

What would be the best way to make the splash page load right away without affecting non-js users?

I would recommend making the "splash page" (Landing page) be the index, and then have it forward the users to a different page which would be your main page.
That way the main page wouldn't have to load until they have passed the landing page.
If you're on a VPS or DEDI you can specify the index page in the apache or nginx settings.

The solution is to make a script right in the head, which hides the future content. Thanks Frooxius for the solution!
