All cats just tend to hate me.

We have a cat who a head scratch addict! And, since he is a nocturnal critter, he jumps in bed with me several times during the night for attention.

Other than that, and coughing up a fur ball now and then, I do like cats better than dogs. Dogs are slobbery and smell like, well, dog.

I like dogs way more playful, and just i'm more of a dog person.

I love dogs and cats, but I only have a dog right now, so that settles the issue of who I am going to pet. Actually, neither cats or dogs like being patted on the head (can't blame them, I hate that myself), and what they really enjoy is to be stroked along their backbone , and then the kitties will be purring, and wrapping themself around your leg, and the dogs will be tail-wagging for more petting.

Since I grew up having dogs in my household all of my life, I would have to go with dogs. For some reason my father and even my brothers hated cats. So, we never owned a cat in our home. According to my father cats act too sneaky in nature, and I guess my brothers feel the same way. As for dogs they are loving and loyal companions, whom I have found seem to have always filled our home. There have been a few times we were without a dog for awhile and it would feel as if something significant was missing.

Why so much hate for cats?!
I like both as in total I have 3 cats and 2 dogs but I do prefer cats. They are generally quite calm and are very cuddly. As for dogs, they do have more of a personality although I dislike the smell and dirtiness etc.

Dogs are made for petting. They're committed and loyal. Cats are a bit too independent. They will sit there and stare at you while you try to call them to you. A good dog will come when called.

Definitely cats! They aren't nearly as loud as dogs, and I feel safer around them.
