OpenVPN on CentOS Connectivity #1
Im having some interesting issues with OpenVPN on a CentOS server that I havent been able to figure out

I installed and configured OpenVPN. It worked.
Stopped Working a day or so later.

Now I can connect to the OpenVPN server, and i can access the host's gateway, the connection appears to drop there. For example lets say ive reached my host 10.0.0.5 - I can ping and route up until 10.0.0.1 but the connection drops at that point.

If i SSH into the server, there are no connectivity issues. I can freely access any networked content.

I checked with iptables disabled. Still nothing. I installed OpenVPN on my phone with identical results. So I believe its a routing issue on the server but not clear where its going wrong.

Any idea's? suggestions?

RE: OpenVPN on CentOS Connectivity #4
I posted a bit prematurely it seems.

While i was continuing to mess around I realized that the only thing I had changed between when it worked, and when it hadnt worked, was the firewall. For unrelated purposes i had disabled iptables locally.

Not sure why the lack of iptables locally messes with the connection... but the vpn instantly started working again when its enabled. Just tried the phone as well and its working. perhaps it was just a fluke that the webpage didnt load properly last time lol.

But ya, ill leave this here so if people have this issue in the future they can search for it.
