I am speaking for America in this thread. Feel free to enlighten us on your own countries situation below.
Cyber Warfare, and our place in it.

In testimony before US Senate committees, top US intelligence officials announced Tuesday that Washington is setting up military units to wage offensive cyber war—i.e., to write malicious computer code to disable or destroy computers and computer-controlled infrastructure.

America has noticed that computers can be a great tool in our nations success. And those who know how to use them to their max potential are valuable assets to the American Government in our time of need. The quote above came from this article...

Random googles have lead me to the conclusion that America needs Cyber Militias, full of intelligent, and talented hackers to assist with the Cyber War. I don't know of those in this community who are up to it, and this is not an invitation to some club. This is just to inform you all of some things.
Government groups, U.S Corporations, and others are constantly under attack by Cyber Terrorists. Top secret information that could save American soldiers lives are held in servers all over the world. Possible threats are everywhere. What happens when the U.S needs help? Do some hacker super heros come to the rescue? Not likely. However we can help!
What can we do?
1.) We can find security flaws in these systems, and report them to the administrators.
2.) We can develop software to combat threats among these systems.
3.) We can form a community around these goals.
We can and will help even though we are not on one of the official teams.
To all Hackers out there that are reading. The time is now to step up. We can make a difference if we try.
