Site Name Change Proposal #1
After much consideration, I have decided that it may be in our best interest to change the site's name. However, without the approval of the members I will not do it. What I thought would be a very neat name, has become a very misunderstood and ridiculed name. That doesn't mean I dislike the name, but others do. There are certainly better options too. I am wondering if you guys would be open to changing the domain to Sinister.ly or Vicious.ly. While SEO might be a problem for the next month, it is nothing we can't fix.

Personally, I think Anarchy Forums is ready for the change and that the new domain would be an improvement. In addition to the new site name, there would be improvements to the theme and a brand new logo. This will cost a large amount of money from me personally, but it is nothing that can't be recuperated over time. Anyways, drop your concerns and ideas below. Have a better domain in mind? Let me know. I am always open to new ideas, especially if they have the potential to improve the forum.

So this means a new domain as well? You will lose all of your SEO..

I think the new domains are nice but at the same time might bring us a negative reputation from the gate. Either way this plays out I support your decision.

SEO is easily regained and can even be restored to a degree. That isn't to say I will do SEO fairly either.

I did read it... (moron). I was simply stating that a domain name change would ensue in losing all of the current SEO, and may also only result lower quality SEO for a bad domain name like Sinister.ly or Vicious.ly, I don't think it would be a good thing to do. The current domain name is much better in that regard.

Ever heard of a "rhetorical" question, or is this yet another word to add to the collection of words that you do not understand? :S

What will be the benefit of either Sinister or Vicious over the current name however? These both could still be misleading.. Both Vicious and Sinister would give no hint as to what kind of forum this is. Nobody searching for a forum would search these words to find this type of forum in my opinion.

And you mean AnarchyForums is a name people would search for? You mean that tells the newcomers exactly what the site is about? .... I just don't see it...

Did I say that or can you not comprehend my post? Or do you really have the audacity to twist my wording? The point is, why switch to a new name that still doesn't give this site meaning. Use some common sense.

Here is what I know I did say:
1. What will be the benefit of either Sinister or Vicious over the current name however?
2. These both could still be misleading..

"Still" implies that I acknowledged that the current name itself is just as well misleading. And the first part of my post was to see what the benefits would be in having "Vicious" or "Sinister" over the current name, because I don't see how they could be any more "clearer" than the current name...

Anyways I voted for "We shouldn't change it.*", because it was the only other choice other than the other names that I don't see doing any benefit. You would lose SEO, and for what? Unless a proper suitable name is chosen..

Bro what's up with your hostility (go ahead and google that word too)? He was not ignorant towards you in any way so that moron shit was just uncalled for.

RE: Site Name Change Proposal #10
What name would you suggest cxS if Anar did chose to change it? (out of curiosity)

I think the concept of rebranding is a good idea. It has the potential to build new interests into the forum and possibly increase activity. Of course it may also have the opposite affect.

I do like the current name etc though :') I shan't be voting.
