Poll: Should we just use the old backup and forget about re-obtaining the VPS?

Hey there. As mentioned in the announcement thread, I have access to a backup (from right before the HC merge). Now, I can wait to see if I get a message from our host, or find a legal representative. However, I could also just merge this database, the old one, and the HC one.

What would you prefer?

I can foresee a lot of anger If you re-merge the HC database again.

I feel like waiting would be the best option. All my things (groups and SP etc.) are on what was taken from us (filthy pigs) and I want it back D:

It could be weeks, or even months. Maybe never.

Hmm, in that case, maybe link the backup. I still had /SOME/ stuff from right before the merge. As you said before, if people don't want to be there they don't need to.

You should wait. I mean, if you're going to merge it with an old backup, don't completely forget about the data. I have a lot of saved PMs and shit that I would lose, and I'm sure that's true for other members too.

I voted for merging the most recent backup. I personally feel that we should continue on with our lives here at SL and continue to rebuild. I really don't think we'll hear from Eurotroll anytime soon, if at all. I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic I guess. I just don't think we should put Sinister.ly on hold while we wait for them to get their shit together.

If in the future we finally get stuff back, I'm sure we could merge that stuff in as well, right?

Casted my vote for re-mergeing the databases. No telling how long waiting on them could take.

(Plus, I have my threads saved locally, so I can just re-post them)
