This was made up in order to scare people (kids) to stop swatting others or else they'd have to face the consequences.

But even though this is fake, you still shouldn't swat people. It takes the police force's attention away from real emergencies which can result in casualties and worse. I also heard that each SWAT raid costs about 5-10 thousand dollars. Furthermore, it's a federal crime to report any false information to law enforcement. So when you're caught swatting, don't cry like a little bitch as if you didn't know what would happen. Be prepared to face the consequences.

This is likely bullshit, but it is swatting is a really a shitty thing to do. The SWAT team looks awful in these situations, but they are just doing their job. They are used to having to deal with deadly situations, so you can't expect them to knock on your door, give you a smile, and greet you in a friendly manner. They believe they are risking their lives when they respond to these situations.
