I admit I haven't looked into the truecrypt code, however, if the maintainers tell me that their own software is unsafe, I think I'm going to listen to them over your opinion.

Are you all honestly telling me you suddenly think: Woa!, Oh SHIT, they are telling us to use bitlocker so Truecrypt is suddenly insecure.

The same software everyone has been using for years... is suddenly insecure.

I for one, still trust my data in the hands of truecrypt.
As long as you use it correctly, your data is secure.

With that being said, i can see that there is no download now, ill try get a bin of 7.1a so people can use it.

The creators/handlers didn't say that. They said that truecrypt was now insecure, the next best thing was bitlocker. There's millions of other programs that can probably do the same.
