I've had this happen to me when my parents decided to take me to four week overseas visit, which I thought I would have absolutely hated. It was miserable for the first few days because of the culture shock - all the niceties and technology we took for granted was pretty much absent. But it started to warm up to me when you realize that if you're there, you might as well make the best of the situation, playing local sports, eating international cuisine and taking in the sights. Give it a chance, you might actually end up enjoying it.

Spending a bit over a month with Oni, as you all know. It's going to be pretty fucking awesome and possibly the only good part of my holiday xD I'll be working full time (37 hours a week ish) over the summer to earn money to pay for rent when I come back. I'll be living with my mum whilst working, but the house I'll have for second year has a contract starting in July, so I have to pay for it whether I'm there or not. I'll then be moving in there a little early and looking for a job to continue during term time since my parents can't really help me out.

My holidays technically started weeks ago but I was sorting my passport and packing for moving out and such. Hence my even smaller activity on the forum recently. (plzforgives<3)

Life's an adventure. Not always a good one xD Btw if Oni disappears for a month or so... It's my fault. I'll have kidnapped him and locked him in my basement.

First year of university is over for me. Could have probably ended better, but it was alright. @Jiggly will be spending a little over a month at my house. Will be quite fun. We're planning on doing some traveling and stuff. In August I'm planning on attending a metal festival as well.


I have a friend taking summer classes. It must suck.

What course were you taking?

While summer is only starting with you guys, I'll be going to college next week. Pretty nervous though, since I'll only be able to go home once a week and can only stay home for 1-2 days. Although my roommates are my classmates in highschool. I think it will be quite challenging and at the same time a bit fun. My activity here will pretty much be affected though, since I heard that my teacher in engineering likes to fail. Some say she fails half of the class.

If I may ask you, dear @MiS where did you go? I assume you live in North America... Did you visit Europe, or Asia, which country and what cities and such?
