Personally, my windows are made of pure diamond, they look wonderful and I would be so angry if an attention whore like the immature teenager/etc. aforementioned (I shall not speak his/her/its name) broke my windows and made it to the news. That would be impressive, though.

The police department are pretty outdated when it comes to technological investigations.
They should send it to their forensics team, although, I'm not sure if the forensic's team would be very happy about getting into a prepubescent teenage girl's phone.
