What annoys you the most about Forums? #1

The title mostly speaks for itself, though I do understand that some of you may wonder a little bit as
to what I am talking about. To put it simply, I want you tell me and entire community what you
dislike the most about forums in general. Not just this site, but every site in general.

I will also share my point of views.

The very thing which I dislike the most on most forums is that the users of said forum are quick to judge about others. A great example is if someone who are rather skilled in a specific section like graphics or coding, has been on the forum for quite some while and then someone new joins. The new user will easily be neglected and "hated" by the community of the said forum if he/she openly disagrees with the older user. ( Even though the younger user may be more correct than the older one) I do know that this is because people have respect for the older members, and they have most likely earned that respect. Though that doesn't make them gods, or anything more than any other user on a forum. Its not only annoying, but its a sure breaker for any community out there. Another thing that falls under the same category is if a member says something against the majority of the users regarding a matter, then they are suddenly wrong in ever instance from there on. Say if a member has a different opinion on graphics than the majority of members, suddenly that member will labeled an "idiot" and will be wrong in everything. Regardless if it has anything with graphics to do or not. This is something that I find very annoying when I join a new community, and I am glad that I haven't met the same treatment on here.

What really urks me personally about forums, is the constant strictness and political correctness that occurs when a forum grows larger. Forums are suppose to be fun, enjoyable, and information. They are for people to share experiences, and trade.

And what if people find the strictness and political correctness to be entertaining? Shouldn't those that do be allowed to have their fun as well?

Yes, that should be allowed. I mean when the forums converts from its original ideas to that, and starts banning people when they don't follow the strictness and political correctness.

Maybe its owner change his/her's views on what they view as fun? Everything is in constant change, and its rare that something ends the way it started. Its also a fact that the more people a community has, the more strictness is required. In order to keep the peace and a friendly community, thus most would start to be more strict.

You are a lot like me when I cared more about the details and philosophies of life in such a way to run the simulations in my head.

What if the owner also kills himself, and a new nazi-like owner takes over and completely revamps a nice environmental friendly forum into a wasteful-dump of illegitimate practices?

Then the new owner is still the owner, if he chooses to stump on the memories of the old owner(s) then it is his choice. If he finds entertainment in ruining it, then he is free to do so. The community will fight back if they really care enough about, and if they don't do that and just go about and complaining about it then its their own fault.

Or possibly the new owner will get DDoSed until he gives up the site, and one of the original members buys it to bring it back to its original glory. There could also be the chance the owner is reported for fraudulent activity and the site is taken by a cleaner member.

I hate when forums slow down, and when people post just to correct incorrect grammar that is not even related to the OP
