Not going to go into my issues with Alienware.

Are you not able to guide him through the process of building the computer with like, Skype or something?
Because the best thing for your money is custom built.

If not, here's two of my recommendations, based on features and hardware.

Dell XPS Desktop, SKU 1746157

Retail Pricetag: $729.99 USD

Features:
  • 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i5 processor
  • 12GB memory
  • 1TB hard drive
  • 1GB dedicated graphics
  • built-in wireless networking
  • Bluetooth
  • HDMI output

CyberPowerPC, SKU 6897999

Retail Pricetag: $559.99 USD

Features:
  • AMD FX-Series processor
  • 8GB memory
  • 1TB hard drive
  • 1GB dedicated graphics

And if you have to go with alienware, go for:

X51 Desktop, SKU 9419102

Retail Pricetag: $1,049.99 USD

Features:
  • 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor
  • 8GB memory
  • 1TB hard drive
  • 1GB dedicated graphics
  • built-in wireless networking
  • HDMI output

Note: Only linking to Best Buy because I cba to look them up elsewhere, its just so you can see the product yourself, if you're into looks.

All of the above posts are abselutely cancer. (Except for custy's, because he's hot.)

Who the fuck even uses Alienware's shitty overprised computers anymore, anusways? Last thing I ever bought from them was a laptop, and that broke after a year or so.

OT: For the graphics card I would recommend the R9 280x, as this is a personal favorite of mine, and runs BF4 at around 60-100 FPS. A good processor would probably be AMD's FX 8350. A motherboard that I have used for my last 2 builds is the Sabertooth 990FX. Personally never had any issues with it, and it is very well organized. If you're looking for a HQ HDD (I normally use SSD's, but I doubt that would fit your budget) I would recommend one of Seagate's 2TB harddrives. Seagate definetively has some of the best HDD's I have ever tried.

Other than that you'll need a case that has atleast 270mm extra space for the graphics card and good cooling. As far as ram goes 8 should probably be enough for a couple more years, and this motherboard has room for 36 gigs of ram, so upgrading wont be a problem in the future.

Did you miss that bit? Reason I was listing prebuilt computers that are shit for what you pay for them in comparison to build your own was because of that line, otherwise I'd have a whole list of exactly what hardware would work best.

Have them hold up shit to the camera, you tell them what it is, and what it connects to.
I've done it before.

I seriously, very, extremely recommend exhausting all possibilities of building this shit yourself before going for prebuilt.
Anything prebuilt is stupidly overpriced and, since it's prebuilt, harder for you to maneuver if some shit goes wrong and something WILL go wrong. Prebuilt or not, at some point it will.

Plus, if you build it yourself it's infinitely easier to upgrade, if you can at all on certain prebuilts.

I have a Gateway FX 6800 Series. I really like it, and it has a beautiful graphics card.

You made me have to remember 3 names for no reason. You're a baddie, Sparkie.

OT: Didn't read that far. I'm sorry to say that if you want a pre-built one, you will not get even close to the specs that I mentioned in my previous post. If the nigger wants he can probably watch some videos on youtube about how to do it, or I can try my best to guide him thru it, depending on wether or not I get my machines back tommorow, and how long it will take to get a new HDD shipped here.
