Why does it make sense to people that a VPN provider would log but a proxy provider wouldn't?

No but this one looks really dodgy,almost nothing good is free.

Don't get a VPN if you don't need one. Unless you're dealing drugs on Silk Road or hacking government websites you probably won't need a VPN. If you don't want your IP out there, just use a simple proxy.

Using a vpn isn't going to keep you 100% anonymous, I would go as far to say all it really does is change your ip and hide your country. Let alone using a FREE VPN your just asking to get traced.
