Plane Passenger Opened Door During Flight #1
This is a story that could scare any nervous flyers - A passenger has been arrested after opening a plane door during flight while it was still 250m (820 feet) from the ground. The man apparently felt suffocated and attempted to jump out of the plane after opening the door.

More details below:

A man has been arrested for opening a door of an Asiana Airlines flight as it was landing in South Korea.
All 194 passengers survived the flight, which landed safely but with its door still open at Daegu International Airport on Friday.
Some passengers fainted while others had breathing problems and were taken to hospital, local media reported.
The man in his 30s said he was feeling suffocated and wanted to get off quickly, Yonhap news agency reported.
Police said the man claimed during questioning that he was stressed after losing his job, according to the report.
"He is mentally struggling right now and losing his footing. We could not investigate him properly due to his state," a local police officer told reporters, adding that the man could not be asked any questions as he was not "in a normal state".
Flight OZ8124, an Airbus A321-200 jet, had taken off from Jeju Island on Friday about 11:45 local time (03:45 GMT).
As it was landing about an hour later, a male passenger opened the emergency door while the plane was still 250m from ground.

The article doesn't describe how they managed to stop him jumping, or how his jump had been unsuccessful, but there is some footage of the incident showing the door wide open during flight:

Thankfully he opened it when they were approaching landing and not mid-trip. Impossible to close the door while they're at high altitude.

In fairness, at cruising height when this is the most dangerous for someone to do, more people would be able to leave their seats - Including the hostesses who are trained for this sort of thing. There's a reason we don't really hear of this happening.

What's the worst bit of flying for you?

That sounds rough. Do you find you let your brain mess with you with the "What ifs"?

What kind of check could they do though? There's no easy way to check someone's mental health from what I can tell. "Sir, are you suicidal or do you suffer from claustrophobia?" xD
