Sinisterly Link Shortener 04-01-2023, 12:48 PM

I suggest that sinister.ly get their own link shortener service that must be used when posting or creating threads.
There is no need for a secondary domain or a new server, and lots of self-hosted applications are available. I do know in this case, it won't seamlessly integrate with the site. Personally, I wouldn't mind the little bit of effort just to be able to get analytics on my link clicks.
I also know that there are other sites that can do this for me if used.
The reason I do not use them is:

The reason I do not use them is:
- I hate going to a site that redirects me to an ad infested page where I have to wait for a secondary link, so I will not, by choice, do this to someone else.
- Since there are many link shorteners available, I would like a nice one, and what nicer one than a sinister one?
- It will be beneficial for the admin if they need to remove content in a post.
- I can re-use previously created links.
- People that just register an account to promote some other website or service or who posts spam messages, usually won't make the effort to go and create a link specifically for the website which will also let them stand out above the ones that do, assisting admin personnel in identifying them and getting rid of them.
Cogito, ergo sum.
