Orbis has officially become the codename for the next generation Sony console. Some features that have been revealed thus far. Note that some of these could change during the final launch.

- No backwards compatibility. The Orbis will ONLY play Orbis games.
- Death of used games. The Orbis will not accept used games at all. They MUST be new.
- The Orbis will be capable of displaying 4096×2160 resolution, and playing 3D games at 1080p.
- Launch expected for sometime during 2013.
- Official announcement expected to be delivered at PAX East, 2013.

Not much detail thus far, but I'm looking forward to hearing more. I'm a little upset over the first two points though.
