Personally I'm an agnostic, but a question has been bugging my mind lately about religion.
Why do you believe in your specific god(s) and what made you come to believe in them? Did your parents force you to go to church like mine did? Did you have a personal experience that led you to believe in a non secular being? I'm just curious as I see no reason to believe in any of the religions out there at this moment in time.

If you do believe in a god, why do you think of them as being a "good" person?
For Christians, why do you worship God over Satan? Based on what I've read God was the biggest terrorist of all time. He killed millions as opposed to Satan's mere (Seven?), so why do you think of him as a good being when he can do the same to you if he happens to be real. God also doesn't believe in same-sex marriage, so this means he will shun gays to hell. As far as we know, Satan accepts all whether they "deserved" to be there or not, making him a better being. How do we know God isn't the corrupt one rather than Satan. Satan, or Lucifer, was said to be a fallen angel. What if he rebelled just as others have rebelled to gain their freedoms? Maybe he possibly lost and God covered it up to make him look bad.

I'm not a Satanist or anything, but I just want your opinions on this.

Also, something I have always wanted to say about a "theory."

Matter cannot be created nor destroyed, yet it is here. So that leaves that it has to be possible to create in some way.

I don't usually debate about stuff like this because I am more personal about it than anything, but I just don't care anymore.

I believe in God because I was born a Christian and raised as one, I may not practice Christianity or follow it down to every verse of the Bible but I do try to do my best to be a good Christian, in essence.

I prefer not to dive into much of my belief or try to explain it due to me not wanting to not try and push my beliefs or religion on anyone not wishing to listen to take part.

Are you implying creationism about the matter "theory?"
If so there is many theories about that such as being a parallel universe to another, big bang theory, etc.
Can I just have an idea of why you believe in a God?

Well, I was born into a Christian family. Around my 8th grade year I started looking around me and realizing the real world. I noticed that Christians believe in a God who created them, and if they don't follow them, then they will go to hell. Then they kind of back it up saying things like "He forgives" and many other things. Also, if God were real, why would he sit around for 10's of thousands of years to create a son "Jesus." Now I know this brings me to talk about the Jews, but that is another whole subject in and of itself. Either way I know what you mean by the theories, but like I said... This is just so broad of a topic that can be written about for days and days. I hope this explains it well enough for you.

Essentially following the lines of Christianity as best as possible, I pray once and a while, do my best stay out of trouble and follow gods way I'd suppose. Can't really say much as again I'm just not one to dive into it, just my personal standing on the matter.

I believe Satan or the Devil is real, of course but my belief in God is stronger and I choose to follow him, I'm not scared of ghosts or monsters or even the Devil himself if he came to visit me.

I believe there are entities and matters that we will never understand until the time comes.

Because my mind is of my own and my my thoughts are of my own conjuration.

I believe things happen for a reason, may they have explanations or not.

I can also pose the question; Why do you choose to not believe in something even though you have no proof of it's non-existance?

Just like every debate, unless solid proof is provided for each side, every person will stick to his / her opinion and views. :o

I am a Pantheist, so I don't believe in a 'God' as humanity sees it. I do feel there is a force behind our existence, and that force exists throughout the universe and in nature. It is NOT a God, with a purpose for humanity or morals. It just allows us to exist, it has no thought. That is my 'God' and there is no need to pray to it. Just respect it, and try to figure out as much as you can. Ultimately, it's based on science and fact.
