I say, an apartment. Well, you'd better buy an apartment to start with, the costs are lower and the maintenance is low.

My parents are building a house right now. Before they bought a plot of land, they made a project. They had help from professionals in creating the project. There are a lot of nuances to take into account when designing a house.

A house,
I used to live in a big apartment over a mall and I’m every room all I could hear was people at least 12 hours out of the day. A house is more secluded IMO and gives you more space.

For one person? Apartment, unless the house + yard is rather small. Too much upkeep for one person.

Depends where you are but overall, renting anything is currently better than buying.
As for apartment or house, depends how much space you need.
Normally an apartment is enough unless planning to do a house share or start a family.
