As the title states. Basically name what you do and/or what you use to remove viruses or do a check up for viruses on your computer.

I have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware installed along with Hijack This and OTL. Firstly, I use HJT, renamed of coursed so that a virus that's engineered to delete/stop the process from execution won't be able to find it. I check my start up and remove things that are a red flag.

Then I restart my computer and run OTL to double-check any new files that were created from the virus.

If there are more than just one, I use Malwarebytes to remove them. If that doesn't do the trick, I get rid of them manually. If they are still be ran, I restart and go into Safe Mode and remove them there.

I'm free balling at the moment. To me, the best antivirus is common sense. Having said that, I of all people know how easy it is to make a mistake and get infected. I guess I'm just too lazy. Usually, I'd install MSE and that would be more than enough protection for me. If I wanted to go fortress-mode, I'd install COMODO firewall with MSE and MBAM on the side.
