Every piece of software, Inclusive of the OS Itself, Is pirated which pretty much speaks for Itself.

Also, the updates rebooting my PC and losing all sessions, then viewing the BS message of "Configuring windows updates do not turn off your computer" for 15 minutes, Isn't exactly convenient. Why users perform Windows updates, Is beyond me. I've yet to hit an update In over 20 years, and my systems are very well secured and running at their optimal state.

What method did you use btw?
I don't use windows often but last time I remembered disabling the service wasn't permanent,, maybe just few registry tweaks? (yes I could search what are the working methods, but easier to ask yours)

P.S. That's not something I wouldn't recommend for any standard user if running Windows as his main OS; there are security patches and regular Defender updates that you wouldn't want to miss

No registry tweaks.

I've disabled both the BITS and the Windows Update service, and then removed every associated file from the System32 directory. Here's a visual of my Windows Update service.

Yes, It's an absolute certainty that Windows updates cannot be Installed.

As you've mentioned, disabling the service Is not permanent. It automatically re-enables sometime later.
