All men are born equal is a figurative usage. It makes a lot of difference when it comes to your place of birth, to whom you are born etc etc. Women do not get equal rights in many parts of the world. Practically, all talk about equality is just a facade.

All men are born equal in the eyes of law. But how much the law takes the statement seriously is anybodys guess. In particular, people of color are not given equal rights or freedom. Why colour? Even race, religion, financial status, everything has its own definition. So I deny that all men are born equal..it's only on paper.
