Missouri Signs Bill Invalidating Federal Gun Laws #1
Missouri's governor signed a bill that declares federal gun laws invalid. This would, in effect, allow an average citizen in Missouri to own automatics/suppressors. Similar legislation already exists in Montana, but there's no guarantee the federal government won't get involved.

Missouri law enforcement officials no longer have to execute federal gun laws.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed a bill Saturday that declares all federal gun laws past, present and future must be invalid in the state. This includes taxing, tracking and registration of weapons.

The bill is called the “Second Amendment Preservation Act.”

He signed the bill in front of a large crowd inside Frontier Justice, a gun store and shooting range in Lee’s Summit.

Parson, a former sheriff, said the purpose of this legislation is to stand up to the federal government.

“We’re going to do things to make sure you don’t overreach your authority from the federal government,” he said, while seated at a desk in front of a large display of firearms.

The bill would bar local police from assisting federal agents in enforcing federal laws. And it allows for a $50,000 lawsuit against anyone who knowingly acts under any federal or state law to deprive a Missouri citizen of their Second Amendment rights.

great. I love having moved out here to Missouri.

I will personally say that I am not surprised that out of all places, he signed it at Frontier Justice in Lee's Summit. Everyone out in Lee's Summit is a bunch of entitled(excuse my languages for this next part) white people who grew up on cushy money from their families.

I avoid generalizations, but I do find it strange that he chose to sign the bill at an actual shop. By signing it there, it might lead to the store being targeted by the ATF (if they choose to enforce).

I hadn't thought about that. I wonder how things will go.

It seems so strange to see states overriding federal law.

It's not really the first time states have put in place laws that contradict federal ones. Sometimes "Supremacy Clause" isn't enforced, due to constraints. For example, marijuana is still federally illegal, but many states have legalized it. Dispensaries still get raided by the DEA occasionally. I'd assume ATF could still raid gun stores that are selling firearms/accessories that are federally illegal (without FFL/Form 4).

I think that governor simply wants to show, that he controls something about it, but in my opinion - he doesn't. I truly think that laws, especially in the process when they are pending as a bill or draft, they should be written and fully analyzed by the professional lawyers, with all the notices and recommendations from them. Talking of that, do you know some great law firms, which can help you with jural procedures? I've heard that this firm ( over there: [Link Redacted]) won some great cases all over the country. Did you hear about them?

Missouri for the win. The 2nd amendment doesn’t refrain you from owning any sort of firearm. We should be allowed to own and open carry whatever the government/police can own.

I'm curious to see how this has panned out for them. While Missouri's laws might not forbid unlicensed machine guns, federal law still does. Other states have passed similar measures.

If federal gun laws can be forfeit, then a state can also outlaw guns altogether. You cannot have it both ways.
