I certainly agree, but what's the point of this software if used in a VM ?
If I understand correctly it's just a web browser with special anonymity features to prevent detection of any fingerprint, but if you're using a VM that's already the case.
Or did I miss something ?

I get your point but as I haven't tested it I don't want you to run it on your computer except if you want to. That's why I added that you should run it it in a Vm.

Haha no no of course I don't, I just noticed that this software's usefulness is almost nonexistent if you're running it in a VM (which everybody obviously should)

You're half right, there. A VM doesn't defeat fingerprinting which is what software like Brave Browser.
Other things that defeat browser-based fingerprinting alone would be FraudFox, Tails, but that's obviously not just for the browser.

That's actually not true, VMs totally defeat fingerprinting. Only some CPU properties can be partially used, but not enough to actually fingerprint.

So basically using a VM and a VPN is totally safe against fingerprinting (assuming you trust the VPN though..)

Yes, you can identify VMs through just the default settings including base RAM and kernel (linux VM) and resolution. More in depth, you can do this across multiple browsers thanks to "plugins, the selected time zone, "do not track" and whether an adblocker is being used." This is just the basic ways websites can fingerprint and is not nearly within the scope of a reply here. Using a VPN doesn't affect what your browser sends to websites you visit.
