Well there's not really ghost clients for 1.12+ the only one I can think of is vape lite. If you just want a regular client I would recommend intertia client also future client but that one is paid.

When I wanted to play on one of the servers from this list minecraft.buzz, then I needed this version. And I decided to just Google, and as far as I know, there is such a thing called TLauncher. It is essentially a pirated version of the Minecraft game, but this launcher has all versions of the game, can you imagine? Therefore, I think that this may be the easiest way for you. Well, at least I did so. Maybe there are other options, I'm not sure. Perhaps you can find a different version and download it, but it's best to download TLauncher itself and not complicate your task.
