resolv.conf problem on Kali Linux. - darkninja1980 - 09-18-2018
resolv.conf problem on Kali Linux dual booting with windows 10.
I had this problem with Ubuntu as well. I had it on dual boot with windows 10
but I do not have a dual boot system anymore. but I could not fix this issue.
I try editing the dns too 8.8.8.8
I could not ping google or yahoo at all.
ping microsoft.com
PING microsoft.com (23.100.122.175) 56(84) bytes of data.

--- microsoft.com ping statistics ---
20 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 19151ms
ping google.com
PING google.com(yk-in-x64.1e100.net (2607:f8b0:4002:c07::64)) 56 data bytes

--- google.com ping statistics ---
9 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 7999ms
but in VM right I did not have that problem.

have you been using airmon-ng or any tool that puts your network into promiscuous mode?
You have internet on other things just cant specifically ping?

no it wasn't that. my problem is I could not use the internet or my ping commands during a dual boot.

I see did you figure it out I know my other lappy has dualboot and my kali has no space....I basically need to reinstall / get a new harddrive because my friend had the partitions just wrecked and all messed up... good luck to you

I see did you figure it out I know my other lappy has dualboot and my kali has no space....I basically need to reinstall / get a new harddrive because my friend had the partitions just wrecked and all messed up... good luck to you
not really figure out why it did not work. I just gave up on it and deleted Linux off of my computer. I only use Linux on VM. but I still want to troubleshoot this problem again.

yes correct. I also had no internet connection on Linux.
