If you have chrome Mega addon, you should uninstall it now ! - Aeolian - 09-04-2018

Just came across this, be safe people!

Quote:Mega google account has been "hacked" and an update has been pushed.
This update introduced a stealer to get websites credentials and also steal crypto-currencies private key (ETH / XMR etc..)

If you use it, you should uninstall it, if you accepted the access of your webpage, then change your passwords or move your crypto funds on a new fresh address with a different browser.

Appreciate the heads-up.

This Is one of many reasons I avoid using add-ons and extensions.. Aside from being renowned for tracking/fingerprinting, you never know If and when a vulnerability exists. The link Is down from the Chrome web store.

Literally the only add-on I use, Is uBlock Origin.

I loathe ads, particularly when taking a break to watch a bit of YouTube. Almost every video has one but since the Installation of uBlock, I've yet to experience any.
