This plugin allows each user to choose his favorite theme color via a color picker and it's saved in database.

I like It's simplicity- a few clicks of the mouse and the theme's color takes effect.
That's what I like about MyBB software, the availability of plugins. phpBB does not have a variety of mods. I've had to code a lot from scratch.
