The best metal band ever - M00N66 - 08-02-2018
My favorite metal band of all time hands down would be Lordi. They have the mentality and attitude of old-school metal bands. In fact, the lead singer of Accept sang with them in one of their albums. Their best album has to be The Arockalypse. I recommend giving them a go. They are on Youtube, Spotify, iTunes, Play Music, etc. Good stuff!

I know Lordi. Really like them. Haven't listened to them in awhile though. If I had to pick a favorites, it would be both Disarmonia Mundi, and Soilwork, both headed by vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid.

Just to name a few- Motley Crue, Kiss, Def Leppard, Poison, Whitesnake, Warrant. AD/DC, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin.

YESSSSSS! Motley Crue is my shit, Kiss is meh, Def Leppard is awesome, I only like 2 songs from Warrant but still a great band, AC/DC is a no brainer, haha I love 80's-90's metal. Lordi just makes me happy because it's a modern band remaking the style.

YESSSSSS! Motley Crue is my shit, Kiss is meh, Def Leppard is awesome, I only like 2 songs from Warrant but still a great band, AC/DC is a no brainer, haha I love 80's-90's metal.
I honestly didn't think any member would be aware of most of the above bands.
With Def Leppard, It's quite amazing the drummer (Rick Allen) continued with the band after losing his arm In a car accident. Although not a metal band (more so rock), I also love Europe. Who can forget this:

HAHA I had that as a ringtone on my old Verizon flip phone. I am very young but I grew up with old-school music because my parents absolutely hated the trash we have today. I enjoy SOME modern music but it has to be innovative (actually my favorite in that regard is a genre called Dark Country, awesome concept), if it's electronic it needs to be very unknown, due to more effort as a result of less publicity. I just love music as a whole but I am not easy to fool regarding taste.

I can understand your parent's standpoint, I'm much the same with music nowadays. Although I don't listen to music, at work It's Inevitable- the manager plays Spotify all day, and very loud. There's only very few songs that capture my Interest.
