I'm curious on how much it costs to maintain a forum-like site.
Also, besides from purchasing NSP and memberships, how does the forum make money?

Well, if I am right, you will buy a license that is registered to you only. The way that sinister stays up is via the money income via donations.
to have a site like this, it costs a decency amount.

Hosting Is where the majority of the cost Is. And then there's the cost of protection against DDoS, code Injection attacks etc by using a WAF such as CF.
The domain name Is hardly worth mentioning. For a .com domain Inclusive of privacy protection, you're looking at around 25$ annually.

In terms of forum software, this board uses MyBB which Is free and open source.
phpBB Is also the same, but not as flexible as MyBB. What the latter can do with plugins, I've had to actually code for phpBB.

Also the cost of running a forum can be a lot considoring image hosting. Fortunately, we use Imgur and SL doesn't host images. The data generated by users does add up though.

Domain/server are the most costly. We also pay for game servers and other stuff. Most costs supported by upgrades/donations. I supplement when needed.

Ye what is this cause I have never seen this type of forum skin did you guys make this your selves of did you just customize an existing Skin??
