RE: Block live stream video in Mozilla Firefox - Percent - 07-19-2018 To block internet access to YouTube, add it to the main machine's firewall, or add a rule to block these websites to each specific computer if that is the way the network is set up. I didn't know what operating system you were using, but it is now clear to me that you are using Windows. Do your computers connect via your WiFi network? I would recommend adding rules to block these websites in your router's firewall. This would fix the problem, but there is always the potential for these people to switch to another network (if there are any public networks within range, of course). If they are connecting to the same network, the public IPv4 (or IPv6) address will be the same for everybody. Since they are strictly using your WiFi network, it is indeed a great advantage to adding firewall rules. Then, your router will not give the nodes (your staff's computers) the data they request from YouTube or DailyMotion. |
