Getting into Black Metal - zer0grid - 07-18-2018
Anyone here into black metal? I started checking it out a couple weeks ago, starting with Burzum - Filosofem and Ulver - Bergtatt. I've listened to a couple other albums too, but those two are very memorable. Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for good BM?

Heavy metal, I don't mind. In fact, It's one of my favorite music genres.
Black metal Is too extreme for my liking.

Back around 8 years ago, my adjacent neighbor was Into this and had It blaring most weekends. I believe he's the cause of my animosity toward this music genre.
There's no right or wrong, you either like It or don't.

Makes sense to me, it's definitely one of those things people either really love or really hate. But there are also many subgenres of BM, so that could influence your opinion on it as well.

Agree.
I'm basing my opinion on the experience of my neighbor, so given I haven't listened to any subgenres, It's probably premature to say I dislike It as a whole.
