Hardware question - Cyb3rNuX - 06-30-2018 Curious how can I know what CPU will fit on my motherboard as I'm looking for upgrade? On CYRI it says that recommended is Intel Core 2 Quad 2.7 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 3 GHz. Does both of them fit and what's the difference, if there's any? Thanks. Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. A58M-E (FM2+ ) RE: Hardware question - Vultra - 06-30-2018 make sure, you get the correct 4 digit pin numbers. Does your motherboard say LGA1151 or 1150? also, can you please link me to the 2 different CPUs. I can help you out A LOT. From my past experience, the Intel is a better choice due to non sound (you don't hear a loud spinning fan) compared to AMD which is loud as fuck. This ^^ It's about time someone pointed out the noise factor. I've experienced AMD and never again will I opt for that CPU. Perhaps It was a bad apple In my basket, but that was enough for me to stick with Intel. |
