8000 Family Planning Clients Hacked - mothered - 05-14-2018
Greetings to all,
Going by personal experience, thereby "Identifying" that the medical/health sector Is one of the most vulnerable entities to exploitation, this comes to no surprise. Those who target such organizations with malicious Intent, deserve to be punished to the full extent of the law.
Quote:A SECURITY breach has potentially exposed the personal information of up to 8000 Family Planning NSW clients including women who sought abortion or contraception.
The reproductive and sexual health organisation sent an email to all of its clients apologising for a "cyber attack" which "may have compromised our online databases".
The website is currently down, but the organisation has ensured the "situation is now contained" and "there have been no further threats".

Situation is not contained, data has already been leaked probably, or uploaded do a dozen of mirrors. I think it's sad that people hack things like this, but at the other hand it's important that it happens. I hope one day companies wake up and care about security, I'm afraid there has to happen a major event/hack before that happens though.

The unfortunate reality Is, they wake up to themselves when a breach does happen.
