Greetings to all,

One of the largest banks In Australia, namely the Commonwealth Bank, has admitted losing backup data for around 20 million accounts. Apparently, the data was to be deleted by a sub-contractor, however the bank did not receive a certificate (by the contractor) supporting the data wipe. Although the bank Is reluctant to say so, the data may well be community property.

Quote:CONCERNED Commonwealth Bank customers are receiving messages on the status of their accounts as the company moves into damage control in the wake of revelations it lost the financial statements of more than 20 million accounts.
