Health Care- Ransomware Face Extra Scrutiny - mothered - 04-11-2018

Greetings everyone,

An Interesting article I came across pertaining to ransomware, that I'm sure you'll find of Interest.

Quote:Ransomware accounted for 39 percent of malware-related data breaches last year, according to a new study by Verizon.

David Hylender, senior network analyst and principal with Verizon, tells Channel Partners that ransomware began appearing in the DBIR case load approximately three years ago. The number doubled in 2016 and doubled again in 2017 to 39 percent of malware breaches.

While ransomware affects every industry, Hylender notes that it accounts for 85 percent of malware in health care.

Source.

I am not going to say something malware is justified, but I understand it to some extent (ppl wanting easy money) HOWEVER when you do it to health care it is so immoral and disgusting. I believe monetizing misfortunes is never justified and I do not understand it. 85% of Ransomware is honestly disgusting

Agree.

Attacking the healthcare system, would have to be one of the lowest acts of Immorality.
