Opinions on AegisCrypter? - BinarOper - 03-13-2018

I don't know if i am posting this in the right category but i cannot think of anywhere else to post.

I am working on a project that has to do with teaching about security. Because of that i need a free crypter to demonstrate why you should be careful what you download and why AVs are not perfect. I only need the crypter for one use and that's why i don't want to pay anything.

While searching i came across "Aegis Crypter" is it a good choice? If not can you suggest me something else?

It's horribly outdated and shouldn't be used as demonstration for why AVs aren't perfect. Instead, it'd be much easier to generate any payload ever from msfvenom and making it FUD by adding in a bunch of comments on each line and obscuring the variable names and whatnot (either before or after compiling depending on whether it's something like an executable or something like a python script).

On these grounds, use any crypter that will suffice the objective of your project.

The focal point Is not the crypter per se, but more so based on user-awareness and the Incapacity of (some) AVs to detect such tools.
