LuminosityLink Shut Down - S3xySmurf - 02-06-2018

So after shutting down the LuminosityLink project they kept it running for a few more months to gather even more intelligence, looks like the government and agencies are taking the RAT problem extremely serious now.

Not forgetting Blackshades many years ago.

The tool per se Isn't the Issue, but rather those who use It for malicious purposes, thereby subsequently leads to arrests and convictions for all Involved In It's development.

Using rats these days is just asking for the feds to show up at your door. Dont use them.

I used to use an opensource RAT called Bella, and all of a sudden one day, the dev removed the GitHub repo, made his twitter private, and I haven't seen any activity from him since. I think he got his ass in some trouble.

Yeah true. And they're getting better and better to stay hidden.

I know the blackshades dev was into fraud and at one point added a backdoor which allowed him to sinkhole all of the victims of the users of blackshades which gave him entire control over the entire thing amoung a few of his friends.

Given cyber crime continues to grow, It's quite difficult for governments to "try" and remain ahead.

There's just too many users and definitely not enough resources.
