Adobe Flash Player Zero Day, - MrSecurity - 02-04-2018

vulnerable products / platform, (all running version 28.0.0.137 and earlier),
Adobe Flash Player Desktop Runtime Windows, Macintosh
Adobe Flash Player for Google Chrome Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Chrome OS
Adobe Flash Player for Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11 Windows 10 and 8.1
Adobe Flash Player Desktop Runtime Linux
A critical vulnerability (CVE-2018-4878) exists in Adobe Flash Player 28.0.0.137 and earlier versions. Successful exploitation could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
Adobe is aware of a report that an exploit for CVE-2018-4878 exists in the wild, and is being used in limited, targeted attacks against Windows users. These attacks leverage Office documents with embedded malicious Flash content distributed via email.
Adobe will address this vulnerability in a release planned for the week of February 5.

This is why I don't even install it any more, it's just not worth the risk, you never know who's going to release another zeroday for Flash.

The idiots at my school don't even update it on our laptops. I don't even know what version I have or anything..

Some guy at mine fell for a fake 'install flash' thing. They're everywhere, but I've still only seen one person fall for it.

Sometimes I just stare at the pop ups just to enjoy how stupid they are..
