It turns out the cats in sims 4 like to sit on the kitchen counter and other surfaces while your sim is making food...

How cute.
I owned a (Indoor) cat who did much the same- followed me everywhere and although I didn't allow her on the kitchen bench, In my absence she made her way up. Are you able to actually chop her up?
As a side note, that oven needs a serious upgrade. It reminds me of my mom's oven back In the 70s.

Fortunately the cat was not chopped up
The cat has somehow survived. It does allow you to tell them off for going on counters lol. And yes! This is the lowest end oven in the game lmfao.
