Set your phone back to factory settings and see how you go. Depending on what you have, you'll lose a lot such as Installed apps, personalized settings etc, but It's well worth the peace of mind. Depending on the nature of the Infection (RAT), a factory reset Is not guaranteed to work but the probability of a successful outcome Is more so than not. RE: RAT - Ecks - 11-15-2017 Yeah if your mobile device starts to act up or you think there is a possible infection it is always best to restore the device or just reinstall the OS. If you are an android user you can use google photos to automatically store images to drive and google play does keep track of which apps you have and have had, as well as some games allow google play games to save your scores/level/etc. So doing a new install or wipe on a mobile device really isn't as bad as it used to be. RE: RAT - al68 - 11-15-2017 Depends also it the phone is root'ed or not (if we are talking about an Android). RE: RAT - Drako - 11-15-2017 (11-15-2017, 04:30 AM)mothered Wrote: You're welcome. You can also do this on your PC if it ever gets infected with Ransomware. Just create a restore point. Everyone flips out because there files are now "3ncrypt3d by 1337 v1ruz" and people don't realize you can do that! |
